Summer Recital 2024

A great time was had by all at our Annual Summer Ice Cream Party Recital! Thirteen students participated in the event which took place on Sunday, June 30th. Due to the heat that day, we decided to have the recital indoors. After a wonderful concert of piano and violin music, we ended the evening with a Make Your Own Sundae Bar. It was so fun and delicious. If you weren’t able to participate this time due to summer travel, you were definitely missed. We hope you can make it for the next performance!

ABRSM Certificate Program

The ABRSM Program (Association of British Royal School of Music Program) is available for Piano, Voice, Violin and Music Theory Students. This is an optional international certificate program we encourage our students to participate in that includes a level based curriculum and exam system for students of all levels.

Students pursue in depth study of scales and arpeggios, Music Theory, Sight Reading, Aural Skills, and repertoire of various styles. Their level is selected based on their current level in the Faber or Suzuki programs. Performance exams are offered in person a few times throughout the year. Music Theory exams can be scheduled and completed online.

More information regarding the ABRSM Certificate program can be found at:

abrsm.com (select United States website). You can also order your books for this program here. Some books for this program are available on Amazon.com

New Songwriting Program

Is your student interested in pop contemporary music? Does your student write song lyric ideas on napkins or scrap paper? Does your student like to sing and play? If you answered yes to any of these questions your student might love learning how to use technology like Garage Band for kids to create and produce their own music. Contact your teacher for more information about our new Songwriting Program led by Ms. Marisa. You can schedule a weekly time or a short series of lessons to work on recording an original song or designing an original backing track for for an upcoming performance.

JULY STUDENT SPOTLIGHT -  XANDER B.

Xander has been playing piano for two years. He is going into 3rd grade and recently completed Level 2A. This month he will begin Level 2B. Xander loves playing the piano. He is always prepared for his lessons and he has a good practice routine. He always plays with sensitivity, dynamics, and expression. He regularly participates in both the in-person and online recitals. Last fall his family upgraded to a beautiful upright piano and it sounds terrific! Having an acoustic piano helps students learn techniques more easily and advance quickly. We are so proud of Xander, his musicianship and his accomplishments.
